APS – Renewable Energy Incentive Program

If you are a customer of Arizona Public Service (APS), you should be aware that APS is decreasing their rebate at an alarming rate. Since December, the rebate went from $1.00 per watt to $0.75 per watt on January 1st. Two days ago, APS announced yet another decrease to $.60 per watt.

The good news is that the price of solar has come down significantly over the last year. Installing solar panels is as affordable as ever.

Now the average home can purchase a solar system for under $10,000 after rebates and incentives. Solar leases have also become a much more attractive option in the last year.

2012 will be a great year to install your solar system. Below is a list of all the incentives available for solar in Arizona with APS:

• 30 % Federal TaxCredit
• $1,000 Arizona Tax Credit.
• $0.60 per watt from APS

This accounts for more than 55% of the total cost of solar
